Boston Mansion Wedding || Leah and Chris
Chris and Leah’s wedding celebrated all things spring! The Lyman Estate, a beautiful historic mansion right outside Boston, was the perfect backdrop as we also got to incorporate the greenhouse into the photos. Everything was blooming dramatically (check out the bright pink flowers cascading from the ceiling), which of course I love.
Leah also chose a less traditional dress that had a pastel blue and violet flower pattern on it - it was just perfect! The bridesmaids wore different color pastels, and of course the florist created beautiful bouquets and centerpieces that complemented the theme. They even had little seed packets at each place setting!
I’ve asked the couple some questions about the wedding and Leah’s answers are throughout in italics.
How did you meet your partner and/or get engaged?
Chris and I met in college and we got engaged at Beavertail park in Rhode Island! It was such a rainy drive there and pouring everywhere other than the proposal spot. Chris had flowers, champagne, and my favorite food Baja’s!
What were your goals for your wedding day? (ie, what was your vision, what did you care about most?)
My goals for the wedding day were to just have fun and take it all in! I knew it would go by fast and I wanted to savor every moment with everyone we care about.

I love that there are two distinct getting ready suites for each side of the wedding party before the wedding at Lyman Estate.
It was raining off and on as I arrived and the girls got ready, so we planned on doing the first look in the greenhouse. This is one of my favorite spots at Lyman for photos!
I loved how candid all the photos were and I barely noticed you! I also really appreciated that we called before and discussed what I was looking for. It helped a lot knowing you have photographed a wedding at my venue before. I saw your photos from a previous wedding and knew you would get all the magic that was Lyman estate.
My maid of honor found Lyman Estates for me. She knew I wanted a beautiful house with lots of gardens and Lyman was the perfect fit!
I couldn’t resist - the bouquets again the backdrop of each of the bridesmaids dresses.
What is one suggestion you have for other couples who are planning their weddings?
One suggestion I would have for anyone planning a wedding is to not push things off! There are so many little things that I pushed to closer to my wedding that I was so overwhelmed! So just do all the little stuff as you go!
One last thing, make sure you take in every minute because it really does go by fast!!
My most anticipated part of the wedding day was the ceremony because we were very dependent on the weather since it was supposed to be outside!
Gorgeous details for a spring wedding!
I was so nervous for the ceremony and first dance because I don’t love being in front of everyone, but once I saw Chris all the nerves went away.
Our first reaction to the photos was incredible!! They were so colorful and just how I saw the wedding day. They were so perfectly candid and a few posed ones in there too that they were perfect. We both said that Brett really captured the whole night perfectly.
