Barn at Crane Estate Wedding || Jon and Mira
Jon and Mira’s wedding at The Barn at Crane Estate had so much warmth to it from start to finish. It was a lovely spring day and such fun to be a part of!
If you’ve ever visited the magnificent Crane Estate, you might not be familiar with this little corner of the property. I did some engagement photos here years ago and didn’t even know that they also did weddings here! It’s a beautiful spot, with a historic Italian Barn as the centerpiece for the reception (love the terracotta walls), and the hillside with the stone walls and tower as the ceremony location.
After the ladies finished their getting ready final touches in the barn, the day started with Jon and Mira’s Ketubah signing, surrounded by family and close friends. It set the tone for the whole celebration right away - really meaningful, personal, and full of emotion without ever feeling too serious. There were so many smiles and quiet little moments before everything officially began.
Their ceremony took place outside overlooking the Ipswich marshes and the ocean beyond, and even with the cloudy skies, the view was still so beautiful. Honestly, it kind of made everything feel softer and calmer in the best way (also, clouds are a photographer’s best friend in the middle of the day). And while there were definitely emotional moments, there were also so many laughs throughout the ceremony. The kind where everyone’s smiling without even realizing it.
There was a lively cocktail hour and then everyone headed into the barn for the reception. It looked so good in that simple, effortless way. Long rustic tables, little bud vases everywhere, white details, and café lights hanging overhead - it all fit the space perfectly without feeling overdone.
And then the hora started.
Which honestly deserves its own paragraph because it was SUCH a good one!
The live Klezmer band brought so much energy into the room, and once everyone got out on the dance floor, it just kept going and going in the best way possible. So much laughing, spinning, cheering - one of those parts of the night where you can feel how connected everyone is. It was impossible not to smile watching it all unfold.
I loved how this whole day felt. Nothing too flashy or overcomplicated, just really intentional moments, a beautiful setting, and a whole lot of joy packed into one spring afternoon on the North Shore.
Keep going for lots more from this fun wedding at the Barn at Crane Estate!
Love the classic white bouquet in this rustic setting.
Can’t get enough of the mix and match bridesmaids dresses! Everybody wins and looks fabulous. :)
There are so many gorgeous spots for photos at the Barn at the Crane Estate. Not only is the barn perfect for a rustic wedding reception with upscale touches, the surrounding area with the stone walls, tower, lawn and woodlands is great for lots of beautiful backdrops.
Jon and Mira had some of their wedding party recite the seven traditional Jewish blessings for the wedding ceremony.
One of my favorite shots - Mira taking a look back at the guests as she and Jon make their way down the path.
Mira joked that she would finally get some use out of all the years of dance lessons she took as a kid, and she and her father choreographed an amazing father daughter dance! So fun.
And then the Hora began! The Klezmer Conservatory Band kept the dancing going.
